During share time, G had brought in a cool insect in a baby food jar (with holes in the lid) to show everyone. And in front of all these teachers and other homeschooling parents, announces that usually her mommy kills the bugs we catch by leaving them in the jar too long. <br /><br />Ok, so it was true. Not that I purposefully neglected them, mind you--who would have thought that an insect or spider would die in ONE DAY in that jar? I think it is something about how air cannot circulate properly even with holes in the lid. . . after the first few times I figured out the dead insect thing was not just a fluke. Overwritten. BORING. I too was told how wonderful this book was. I found it too wordy, and too bogged down in historic detail that was arcane and had no bearing whatsoever to the story. I told a friend who was an editor about this problem and she said : the book was overwritten. That just about summed it up. I find myself jumping to the parts about Holmes and his murders. So there was a fair..big deal. I was diagnosed in July at the age of 25 with breast cancer.<br /><br />I waited after the show to talk to Roger (because my friend and I each had a mighty buzz on!) and got to let him know how a little about much his music has helped me through treatment.
